About The Perfect Call
The Perfect Call makes umpire gear, designed by an umpire.
It started behind the plate. After years of umpiring, I got tired of the fold-out clickers and cheap indicators that lose their numbers halfway through a season, rust from sweat and rain, and make you turn a dial way too far just to get to the next count. So I designed my own.
What makes ours different
- Numbers that stay. The numbers are printed into the dials, so they can't rub off.
- A stainless steel spring plate. Rust-proof, so it holds up to sweat, rain and humidity.
- Only the numbers you use. No zero on the inning dial, and no extra numbers to click past.
- Your layout. Strike-Ball (2-3-2) or Ball-Strike (3-2-2), whichever your thumb already knows.
- A size for every hand. The standard indicator, plus a Narrow version for smaller hands, younger umpires and umpires with less dexterity in their fingers.
- Your name on the back. A name, crew number or phone number, so yours is easy to spot and a lost indicator finds its way home.
Made to order
Every indicator is 3D printed to order in a durable, textured plastic that grips well in heat, sweat and dirt, then assembled with its stainless steel plate. Orders ship in 1–3 business days, most the next business day. If you need it sooner, pick Rush at checkout and we'll make it the next business day.
A real person, not a help desk
We're a small shop. When you email theperfectcall1@gmail.com, you get the person who designed and built your indicator. If your colours or layout don't feel right when it arrives, tell us and we'll make it right.
Umpire associations and crews
We make custom indicators for associations, leagues and crews, including your logo or colours. Email us for group pricing and we'll send you a free sample mockup first.
